Released 1997

This is an extremely ambient CD. From the opening whispers to the ending track with it's East Indian
influence, this is a CD for those music travelers who enjoy the journey into the darker region of
ambient space music. This CD contains some of Robert Carty's darker works and has some very
unusual voice samples in it. On the track
CALLINGS
, it begins with a multitude of voices calling
in many different directions. And the track
DREAM OF THE OTHERS
, has some very low voice
tones.

A wonderful album of quiet, slow, relaxing, trance-inducing, minimalistic, innovative, haunting,
ambient soundscapes. It was put together out of various leftovers from his very creative 1996-
1997 period, but you'd never know it because the pieces flow so nicely together.

"Cleansing Fire" is another atmospheric ambient entry from Robert Carty, replete with nature sounds
and lush, heavy synth washes. The synthesizers create flow. The minimalism is dark and mysterious.
Robert uses his vast influences to the fullest. This CD is a treasure on a scale with the best efforts
from Brian Eno, Robert Rich, and Steve Roach. This is HOT! This is among the top picks of the
year!
