From the beginning to the end, this CD is something very unique. The opening track
"Spiraling In" begins with shakers and an electronic chant, and from there moves into a tribal groove.
The next track "Lightpulse" is pure electronica, and yet it still holds a bit of tribal sound to it.
This CD uses drum sounds from both ethnic and electronic realms. Upbeat rhythmic, slow
ambient, rock oriented. This CD has a touch of everything, and yet it holds onto rhythmic
reflections, and ancient sources. A CD for a "Millennium"

This is a very exciting work, and easy to listen to. Every track is a winner. Most pieces on the
album are rhythmic of course, and good to dance to; yet often the rhythmic sound is very gentle,
and always accompanied by gorgeous visionary sounds in brilliant compositional form.
Rhythms surround us and give us life. Here Carty has captured the spirit of life lived joyously
from the heart. I highly recommended this one even for spacefans who don't like rhythmic music.

"Life Rhythms" starts with some weird and wired droning chants. It is difficult to tell if they are
vocals, electronically generated voices or manipulated samples. Robert Carty is in the rhythmic
atmospheric zone. His synth washes are deep and dark. He is in the territory reserved for ambient
masters. His diversity places him among the greats of this-or any-millennium.
