Deep, dark, drifting, ambient space music. This CD has a quiet atmosphere, and yet it is alive
with moving vibrations. This CD is made up of basically two 30 minutes piecess divided into 5
tracks. The first piece "Dark and Drifting"is how the name describes it. It is slow, evolving
dark ambience with floating sounds, shakers, and an otherworldly chanting voice. The second
piece "That Desert Feel" begins with floating space, crickets, raindrops (rainpops), and desert
thunder recorded in the Grand Canyon. Pure expansive space music, and then a rhytmic drum
program developes with flute type sounds and voice, and finally into long sound building drones.
This is deep atmospheric music, that will put you into another world!

"The Inexplicable" might be Robert Carty's best CD yet1 This sonic adventure is dense, deep
and pleasantly murky. It is NOT inexplicable! It is a further showcase of his development and
mastery as a craftsman. It is the next logical step and emotional plateau of his maturation as an
artiste. His minimalism is stark, surreal and esoteric. The ambience is serene and vital. It is inexplicable
that Robert does not have a major recording or distribution deal. His music merits extensive distribution!
